A QUOTE ABOUT CHILDREN

One quote that sticks out in my mind is one that John Bowman stated:

"The Ideal Activity Is One You Child Is Not Immediately Successful with, But Which He Is Enthusiastic About Working At It Until He Masters It."

PERSONAL CHILDHOOD WEB

Where Do I Begin?

The picture at the top are (4) ladies that have impacted my life fo much.
From left to right:

Mrs. Jeraldine Bridges; the best cook in the world.  I can remember when I was a child she would always ask my mom if I could come to her house to eat lemon pound cake.  She knew that lemon pound cake was my favorite cake to eat.  She would make one every week and let just have my way with it.  She always told me that she expected big things from me.  She would always ask to see my report card when that time came.  I always made "A" honor roll.  One particular time, I received a letter grade of "B" in one of my classes,  she was very upset with me because she said that I should never settle for less; always strive to be at the top.  I truly miss this Phonomonel Lady!

Mrs. Flossie Hill, my mother.  Words cannot explain how I feel about this lady.  She has been there for me through thick and thin.  It's just something about a "mothers" love.  As far back as I can remember, this lady has always instilled in her to children to be the best that you can be.  She knew that I would be a teacher before I did.  No matter what choices I made in life, whether good or bad, my mother always stuck by me.  She was very attimate about her children getting a better education than she got.  My parents really could not afford for me to go to college, but my mother paved the way for me to conquer that dream and for that I truly love her.

Brenda & Linda Charles; these ladies are twins.  It was like I was their child.  Neither of these ladies had children of their own, it's like they adopted me to be their child.  They are the ones who taught me how to drive.  Just lovely ladies and I love them all.

All of these ladies are still in my life and they all tells me that I have made them proud.  I love you all!

The bottom picture;  Kimberly Buggs and Lori Hill.  These ladies are my first cousins.  We were all born on the same month and day, April 7th.  What can I say, we are like peas in a pod.  I am 7 years older than the two of them but it seems as if they are my age or I'm their age.  We do not go a day without talking to each other.  They are both educators and they also said that I would one day become a teacher.  I love you ladies!

One Of My Favorite Children Books

This was and still one of my favorite children books.  I think that this book should be read to children everyday.  I make it one of my priorities in my classroom.  The book is funny, but yet it shows us how to stand up for what we believe in.
